*Choose at least 2 challenges, feel free to do them all if you want!*

Challenge 1:

Create your own game/challenge. Be as creative as you want! If you choose to create a challenge make sure it is centered around teamwork and cooperation. Try it out with your family! If you create a game, make sure it is a game our entire class can play, classes usually consist of 8-15 kids. Email it to me at or write it on paper/draw a diagram to explain it.

Challenge 2:

Fortnite Challenge. Play a round, everytime you eliminate a player you need to do 5 repetitions of an exercise (choose push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, or squats) and see how well you can finish in a round. Bonus: Play a round with at least one other VWS Student in the round and try the challenge with them.

Challenge 3:

Tik Tok Challenge. Make at least 3 Tik Toks a week showing you did some sort of physical activity. Whether it’s a walk or hike outside/ any of the trendy dances, playing with family, exercising, be creative just move! You can email the Tik Toks to me at

Challenge 4:

Physical Activity Log. Your goal is to get at least 30-60 minutes of physical activity a day. Please try to log your activities you did each day, the amount of time, and have a parent sign off on the activity as proof you completed it. When we return back to school eventually it’s time for the 3rd annual Valley West Fit Fest! There will be a special station for those who complete their two weeks of their physical activity logs!

In the event of school cancellation, delay, or early dismissal, Valley West School will submit notice to the following stations:

WWLP– Channel 22 television          WGGB– Channel 40 television


  • Any student who has had school cancelled in his/her town will not be required to attend Valley West School for that day.

  • When your town does not have school due to inclement weather, the buses aren’t running.

  • If you drop your child off at Valley West, you will also be responsible for picking him/her up.

  • In the event of a one-hour delay , students should arrive to school no earlier than 8:45 A.M.In the event of a two-hour delay, students should arrive to school no earlier than 9:45 A.M.

  • PLEASE listen to the news in the morning on days of inclement weather before dropping-off your child.
